The Silk and Steel Syndicate is my first ever Mordheim warband, recently completed for a campaign at my local gaming club, 'Exiles'. For the uninitiated, Mordheim is Necromunda's Warhammer Fantasy brother from '99 - skirmish gameplay with campaign progression.
Since there's never been an official revival, building a warband means either hunting down long out-of-production kits from the Old World or getting creative with other manufacturers. I went the creative route and ended up pulling from quite a range of producers, including some I hadn't seen mentioned by the community before.
Captain with duelling pistol
The Captain was built from a sprue of Pike and Shotte Landsknecht Missile Troops.
I wanted the Captain to be wielding a pistol, so had to create one out of a musket.

This was done by keeping the firing mechanism but cutting the barrel at the first reinforcement band, then attaching the tip to this, removing most of the barrel. I also created a holster out of one of the parts from this kit with a hobby knife.
Halberd Captain
The Halberd Captain was from a sprue of Wargames Atlantic Fantasy Guards.

This is an excellent kit and reminds me of the GW kits of old where you would have lots of options of how to match the arms with torsos. I have plenty of leftovers from this in my fantasy bitz box that I am excited to use in future projects.
Crossbow Champion
The Crossbow Champion was a stock build from the Landsknechts Missile Troops sprue. I wanted the champions to be visually distinct on the tabletop, so made sure they all had prominent feathers in their hats.

Henchmen - Marksmen
The henchmen are the guards from Dungeons and Lasers Townsfolk set by Archon Studios. I picked this up years ago in the original kickstarter with the vague intent of someday building a Mordheim warband with them.
There was no kitbashing involved for the marksmen, the kit has a good mix of bows and crossbows and a good variety of poses.
Henchmen - Swordsmen
These are still Dungeons and Lasers Guards, but for WYSIWYG I wanted them to have bucklers. These were pretty easy additions of carved discs of plasticard, and some pretty minimal carving to make fit.

Youngbloods
Both Youngbloods were D&L guards with spears, with a simple addition of shield from my bitz box. The shields came from the Warlord Skeleton Warriors kit - I picked this up a few years back for D&D and have been finding it a good source of random bones ever since.

Ogre Bodyguard
So I have not used this in game yet but I live in hope. This was built from the very characterful Landsknecht Ogres by Wargames Atlantic.
